Event Type : SLINGER/BANKSMAN

1. 1. Duration: 24h – 3 days –  Theory and practical sessions in the Centre.
   2. Description: The student will gain basic knowledge of the activities associated with the combined functions of Banksman and Slinger, as well as the regulatory and safety requirements of these activities.
   3. Objective: The student will obtain knowledge related to current legislation, identification of threats and dangers, in addition to understanding the entire role of a slinger.
   4. Content/Modules: To obtain initial Banksman and Slinger training, the student must complete the 3 mandatory units.

• • • • OIS-350 – Introduction to lifting operations and the roles and responsibilities of the slinger (load handler).
      • OIS-240 – Crane lifting operations – Theory
      • OIS-241 – Crane lifting operations – Practice

Certification: OPITO certificate valid for two years.
