Event Type : Escape Chute

1. 1. Duration: 1h – 50 mins –  Theory and practical sessions in the Centre.
   2. Description: This course will ensure that delegates are capable of make an emergency evacuation through escape chute safely in offshore working environment/facilities.
   3. Aim: All staff currently working for the oil and gas industry.
   4. Objective:
      1. a) To make learners aware of the various types of escape chutes used on offshore installations and vessels.
      2. b) To provide theoretical and practical training in the safe techniques for escaping through an escape chute.
      3. c) To ensure learners understand what they are required to do when exiting the escape chute.
   5. Requirements: Medical certifificate which declares that delegate is fit.
   6. Content/Modules: To achieve the Escape Chute Training Standard the learner will need to complete the 1 mandatory unit.

Certification: OPITO certificate valid for four years.
