This course is regulated by the IMO’s STCW Convention, and upon successful completion, it results in the issuance of a Maritime Navigation Booklet, allowing service aboard all types of commercially used vessels. It is essential for starting a career in the maritime world, regardless of the specific position.
It is valid for anyone aspiring to perform professional duties on board civilian vessels or provide service on ferries, cruise ships, port vessels, barges, and leisure maritime sector vessels.
It is important to emphasize that the validity of this qualification is for five years, and to keep the title/certificate current, update courses must be completed as required before its expiration.
To train the student to perform professional duties on merchant and civilian vessels in accordance with the RESOLUTION of June 18, 2013, and RD 269/2022 of the Directorate General of Merchant Marine, which regulates the training programs for professional titles and the specialty certificates attesting to professional competence.

Module 2 – Fire Prevention and Firefighting
Module 3 – Adoption of minimum competence standards in first aid
