Our course is designed to offer you high quality training and is backed by the International STCW Convention and approved by the Directorate General of the Merchant Navy. However, it is important to highlight that its regulation in the Autonomous Communities is a key aspect, as they are the ones who manage this important procedure after having accepted the transfer of competences.

In the Canary Islands, the Directorate General of Fisheries is the entity in charge of supervising and regulating Recreational Boating and Fishing, and currently plays a fundamental role in the approval, auditing and inspection of the Training Centres authorised to give these courses.

The final examination is under the responsibility of inspectors appointed by the DG Fisheries itself, who issue the Professional Card when they consider that the student is ready to embark on a career in this exciting field.
