GWO Training

Global Wind Organization (GWO) courses are a series of training programmes designed specifically for workers in the wind industry. These courses have been developed to ensure that people working in the construction, operation and maintenance of wind farms have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their work safely and efficiently. Here is an overview of some of the most common courses offered by GWO:

Basic Wind Industry Safety Course (GWO BST): This is the foundation course and covers a series of modules including first aid, fire fighting, offshore survival, working at heights and manual handling. It provides a solid foundation in safety for working on wind farms.
Working AT Heights (GWO WAH): The aim of this module is to enable the participants, through theoretical and practical training, to use basic personal protective equipment, work safety at height and perform comprehensive basic rescue from height in a remote wind turbine environment.
First Aid Course (GWO FA): Focuses on providing first aid skills specific to situations that may occur in a wind farm. Participants learn how to respond to injuries and medical emergencies in an industrial and isolated environment.

Fire Fighting Course (GWO FAW): This course focuses on the prevention and extinguishing of wind farm fires. Participants learn how to use fire fighting equipment and how to respond appropriately in case of fire.
Sea Survival Course (GWO Sea Survival): Designed for workers who may be exposed to emergency situations at sea while working on offshore wind farms. Participants learn survival, rescue and evacuation techniques in offshore environments.
