Grupo Stier has been present in the Canary Islands since 1994. In this year, the company’s activity focused on offering services as a P&I Club correspondent, representing international insurers and executing expert reports under the name Stier & Co.
In the same year 1994, Grupo Stier created the Atlantic Maritime Studies Center (CEMA) with the illusion of providing specialized maritime training and professional qualification to seafarers and port sector personnel. For nearly 25 years, Stier has been carrying out multiple activities focused mainly on maritime safety by offering training to courses under the STCW International agreement.
In 1998, Stier Ship Agency was born, a project that emerges as a ship consignee agency and perfectly complements our initial activity, which evolves to respond to market needs.
At present, the effort of all these years has resulted in what we know today as the Stier Group, a consolidated corporation that operates in the Islands and beyond our borders. This union has managed to launch the new Training Center ‘Stier Training Center’ and be able to be present in the Offshore sector offering courses under the OPITO certification, within which are the BOSIET, FOET, HUET as the most prominent and demanded within the Offshore industry.
The company is booming with the creation of new training lines such as for workers who want to perform their duties in the wind sector and work at heights under international standards #GWO.
